Updated speaker announcement! Nancy Doyle of Employable Me
We are delighted to confirm that our guest speakers for the evening are Nancy Doyle of the Genius Within and BBC’s Employable Me and Angus Baskerville, a Magician and Mentalist.
Our first guest speaker for the evening is Angus Baskerville. Angus is a magician and mentalist who performs feats that apparently demonstrate extraordinary mental powers, such as mind-reading. He is exceptionally gifted at magic because of his ‘superpower’ – he has Autism. He brings a human story to our Ruth Alston Memorial Lecture. He explains how autism affects him and the employment challenges that he has had along the way. This unique insight is essential learning for anyone involved in supporting employers and employees to manage and accommodate disability in the workplace.
Our second speaker is Nancy Doyle, an occupational psychologist specialising in the workplace support of adults with neuro-differences. She is the founder and CEO of Genius Within, a social enterprise that supports people to improve their productivity at work through diagnosis, assessment and coaching of ‘neurodiverse’ conditions. Nancy convenes the British Psychological Society’s working group on Neurodiversity and Employment and was consuted on the recent BBC2 series ’employable me’. she also writes for ACAS research.

Booking your hotel for the event
The Health and Wellbeing at Work team have negotiated preferential hotel room rates for delegates attending the conference, via Event Express. They recommend booking as early as possible as demand is high; other high-profile events including Crufts will be taking place in the same week.
Whilst the first few hotels listed on this page are alarmingly expensive, keep scrolling down and they do become remarkably reasonable.
More information on the venue, facilities and transport options including a 25% discount offer on Virgin trains can be found on the HWW website at the following link: http://www.healthwellbeingwork.co.uk/visit/venue-and-hotels/
If you have any questions or queries please call Ben Globe, Conference Manager, on 0151 7056 7610.
