Vacancy – Occupational Health Advisor (16 hours
over 2 days)

plastic pipe systems and solutions in Europe. Wavin has a presence in 27
European countries with manufacturing sites in 16 of those countries.
Forest Works site in the East Midlands is currently looking to recruit a part
time Occupational Health Advisor. Although
the role reports into the Senior OHA, the successful candidate will have
occupational health responsibility for 85 employees and agency workers based
across site in the Operations function and a small number of field based
employees at the company quarry nearby.
Other main duties and
responsibilities for this role consist of: ·
work closely in conjunction with the HR team, HS&E team and line managers
to provide a proactive and effective OH service to the business
conduct health assessments and provide timely and clear advice and
manage routine health surveillance in relation to current legislation and best
practice and to develop surveillance programmes and campaigns
conduct all ergonomic risk assessments, where a potential health issue is
It is essential that the
ideal candidate will have the following skills: ·
a recognised qualification in Occupational Health or be willing to undertake
at least 5 years post registration experience
at least 2 years’ experience in an occupational health setting, preferably
participation in the creation of OH policies and the promotion of workplace
health strategies is desirable
a flexible and positive outlook to fit within a small, established OH team
a broad knowledge of health and safety legislation
